A walking safari specialist, Ian manages the Hoedspruit office and ensures a high-quality Guiding experience on these Kruger2Canyons.com Safari itineraries. Ian has worked in and managed various luxury lodges in Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. Having worked on all sides of the industry— from leading walking safaris to managing luxury camps— for over 13 years, Ian strives to lead each guest on a journey to capture the spirit of the African bush and local culture. Ian embraces time-honoured tracking methods in search of Africa’s wildlife and enjoys exploring the relationship between the bush and man, cultivating an understanding of medicinal and traditional uses of both plants and animals. He says “it is in the still moments of the trail, that we find balance within, that we embrace the environment and our cultural heritage, that we discover our niche in life”. |
