Cotton Club Cafe
The restaurant is on the Bombyx Mori Silk Estate (click the link for directions), and is open for lunch every day, and snacks, teas and cakes throughout the day. The food is light and deliciously prepared. The menu does vary, but some of the treats you may be offered include:
MAINS (R20 - R50)
- Spinach crepes in a tuna tomato curry sauce
- Creamy courgette quiche and mixed salad
- Thai fish cakes with red pepper mayonnaise & mixed salad
- Cheese and tomato macaroni & mixed salad
- Homemade beef burger (150g) with onion rings, fresh tomato relish, & chips
- Homemade chicken & leek pie with mixed Salad
- Grilled ostrich kebabs, chips & side salad
- Toasted sandwiches & side salad (curried mince; chicken mayonnaise; cheese and tomato; bacon & banana)
PASTA (R30 - R40)
- Penne with bacon, avo & chilli tomato sauce
- Fusilli summer pasta with freshly chopped tomato, basil, olives, & garlic
- Spaghetti tossed with anchovies, tuna, garlic, olives & parsley
SALADS (R30 - R45)
- Smoked trout & nicoise salad
- Caprese salad, sliced tomato, mozzarella, olives & basil
- Ostrich carpaccio salad piled on a bed of lettuce, avo, tomato, green beans & nuts
- Chargrilled chicken salad with papino, orange segments, beans, corn
- Pear & apple, Roquefort, walnuts, avo, parmesan & mustard dressing
Desserts (R15 - R25)
- Amarula Fudge brownie, cream or ice cream
- Orange crepes with ice cream
- Ice cream & chocolate sauce
- Meringues with cream & berry sauce
