Biyamiti Restcamp

On the banks of the Mbiyamiti River, hidden by delagoa thickets, nestles one of the most beautiful Bush Camps in the Kruger National Park. Biyamiti Camp is situated between huge wild fig and jackalberry trees, and offers a vast array of flora and fauna.
There are ten 2 bedroom Guest Cottages here, each sleeping up to five people. One room is en-suite and there is a separate toilet, shower and washbasin in each. The kitchens have gas stoves and a combined fridge/freezer.
There are also five one bedroom cottages at Biyamati. Each has a lounge which can be used for a further two bench beds. A seperate bathroom contains bath, shower, toilet and washbasin.
GAME
Mammals common in the area include giraffe, kudu, duiker, impala, steenbok, elephant, rhino, buffalo, hippo, lion, leopard and hyena. There is also a chance of seeing the elusive cheetah, or a passing pack of wild dogs.
BIRDING
The bush is fairly dense, and birdwatching from the car is quite successful. Local specials include Plum Coloured Starlings, Purple Rollers, and the Redbacked Shrike.VEGETATION
The Biyamiti Camp is situated within the typical, dense Combretum Veld of the area. Tamboti, knobthorn, magic guarri, greenthorn, sausage tree and marula are all common.
